Schroeder joins Real in "most expensive women's transfer"

Latest from Your Site News' Amar Mehta:

Sweden international Felicia Schroeder has joined Real Madrid in a deal her former club say is the "most expensive transfer" in women's football.

The 19-year-old has signed a four year deal with the Spanish club and joins from Swedish club BK Hacken, where she scored 91 goals in 128 games.

In 2025, Lizbeth Ovalle became the most expensive signing in women's football history when she joined Orlando Pride from Tigres UANL in a deal with 1.1m.

While the exact fee for Schroeder's move to Madrid is not confirmed, Hacken said on X: "The 19-year-old is leaving BK Hcken in the most expensive transfer ever in women's football. The forward is moving to Real Madrid in the Spanish top flight."

The previous transfer record was set in 2025, when Grace Geyoro joined London City Lionesses from Paris Saint-Germain for 1.4m.
