Schroeder joins Real in "most expensive women's transfer"

Sweden international Felicia Schroeder has joined Real Madrid in a deal her former club say is the "most expensive transfer" in women's football.
The 19-year-old has signed a four year deal with the Spanish club and joins from Swedish club BK Hacken, where she scored 91 goals in 128 games.
In 2025, Lizbeth Ovalle became the most expensive signing in women's football history when she joined Orlando Pride from Tigres UANL in a deal with 1.1m.
While the exact fee for Schroeder's move to Madrid is not confirmed, Hacken said on X: "The 19-year-old is leaving BK Hcken in the most expensive transfer ever in women's football. The forward is moving to Real Madrid in the Spanish top flight."
The previous transfer record was set in 2025, when Grace Geyoro joined London City Lionesses from Paris Saint-Germain for 1.4m.
'Chelsea in talks to sign Italy international Palestra'
Chelsea are in talks to sign Atalanta right-back Marco Palestra, according to Sky in Italy.
They have offered an initial 47.4m (55m) plus bonuses and a share of any future sell-on, Sky in Italy are reporting.
This is 8.6m (10m) more than an offer from Inter Milan for Palestra.
Chelsea are also ready to offer the 21-year-old double the salary on offer at Inter, Sky in Italy report, thought to be around 4.3m (5m) a year to Inter's 2.15m (2.5m).

Barnsley are closing in on the signing of Newcastle Jets winger Clayton Taylor.
Its understood the Australia U23 international has agreed terms on a three-year deal with the English League One club.

Millwall complete Arconte singing
Millwall have announced the signing of Taryk Arconte.
The 22-year-old Guadeloupean forward joins from Rodez AF on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.
The forward scored 14 goals in France's Ligue 2 last season.
Hibs sign Wright on free deal
Hibernian have signed Callum Wright on a three-year deal.
The 26-year-old has joined Hibsfollowing the expiration of his contract at Plymouth Argyle.
He has become the club's second signing of the summer transfer window, following Jason Kerrs arrival earlier in June.
